Korkeasaari Zoo's beloved "Night of the Cats" event is set to return this September with an exciting new addition: an adults-only evening designed specifically for feline enthusiasts.

"For years, we've received requests for an adults-only 'Night of the Cats'. We're thrilled to finally make it happen," said Susanna Silvonen, Marketing Director at Korkeasaari.

The special adults-only evening, titled "Night of the Cats K18," will take place on Wednesday, September 11, from 4 PM to 10 PM. In addition to the usual activities such as predator feedings and atmospheric lighting, the event will feature new adult-oriented programming.

Korkeasaari curators will host lighthearted lectures on animal mating and reproduction, as well as the endangered status of big cats. Guests will also have the chance to explore a special route showcasing animal world treasures. Other highlights include flower arranging workshops led by Korkeasaari gardeners, and glitter makeup or beard styling by a glitter artist. The drink bar will offer signature cocktails inspired by the Pallas's cat and tiger.

In addition to the K18 night, Korkeasaari will host two family-friendly "Night of the Cats" events on consecutive Saturday evenings, September 7 and 14, from 4 PM to 10 PM. These evenings will feature theater performances, face painting, and fire shows.

The highly popular dinosaur exhibition at Korkeasaari, which drew massive crowds over the summer, will also be open during all "Night of the Cats" events, this time with stunning nighttime lighting.

"It's wonderful that everyone can choose the type of 'Night of the Cats' experience they want. What remains consistent is the fantastic atmosphere that each evening will undoubtedly offer," said Silvonen.

This year marks the 32nd "Night of the Cats" charity event, with funds raised going towards the conservation of endangered cats. In 2023, donations will support efforts to protect the Pallas's cat in the wild.

Tickets for all events go on sale on Thursday, August 1, at 9 AM and will be available exclusively through Korkeasaari's online store. Each evening has a limited number of tickets.

  • Adult: €29
  • Student or Senior: €22
  • Child (4-17 years): €20 (not available for K18 event)
  • Child (0-3 years): Free (not available for K18 event)

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a magical evening at Korkeasaari while supporting a great cause.
