By far the largest of these casinos is the Grand Casino Helsinki, where you’ll find 20 table games as well as over 300 slots and video poker machines. That is an absolutely massive amount of games to find in just one place, so it's no surprise that many casino fans head straight to the Grand Casino to get their thrills. For those who are looking for a variety of casino experiences in Finland though, the best spot sits just west of the Helsinki border.
When it comes to the sheer number of casinos in one city, Espoo definitely has the rest of Finland beat. There are five gambling hotspots in Espoo, the second largest city in all of Finland, which offer table games, hundreds of slots and plenty of other gaming machines. If we had to find the Finnish equivalent of Las Vegas we would absolutely have to choose Espoo, and here we’ll be looking at their casinos to see why.
Feel Vegas Casino Iso Omena & Sello
Located inside one of the top shopping malls in all of Finland ISoomena (http://www.isoomena.fi), the Feel Vegas Casino Iso Omena is the epitome of entertainment. When you’re not shopping or eating at one of the shopping centre's restaurants, you can head to the casino to play a wide variety of 50 Finnish and international slots, as well as blackjack, roulette, no limit Texas hold’em and more. The casino even hosts tournaments and has an in-house sports bar named O’Leary's, where they serve seriously tasty bar food.)
Meanwhile, Feel Vegas Casino Sello is situated right next to Leppavaara train station and offers just as much entertainment and variety as it’s sister casino. Like at Iso Omena, there are 50 slots and video poker machines crafted by top gaming software developers including WMS, Novomatic, Spielo & Balley and IGT. Online casino fans will, of course, recognise IGT as one of the developers who supply many of the distinctive, creative and entertaining games to online casinos such as Mr. Green (https://www.mrgreen.com/fi), including Cleopatra, Davinci Diamonds and Day of the Dead. You’ll also find an O’Leary's on-site at Sello casino, with 80 big-screen TVs and plenty of sports memorabilia to peruse.
Pelaamo Espoo Iso Omena, Lippulaiva & Entresse
It seems as though if you’re looking for a great time, the Iso Omena shopping centre in Espoo is definitely the place to be. Not only is there the Feel Vegas Casino we discussed above but also a Pelaamo casino as well. In fact, all Pelaamo casinos are located within busy shopping malls or down main streets, so they’re always happening places to be.
In addition to slots and table games, Pelaamo offer a variety of scratch cards, lottery games, tote games and even sports betting and so is definitely the place for any sports fans to go to. The Lippulaiya and Entresse Pelaamo establishments also offer this fantastic array of games, and while they may look small from the outside there’s plenty of fun to be had inside.
With five casinos in the city, each packed full of so many different casino games, we absolutely think that Espoo (particularly it’s shopping centres) are the Las Vegas (https://www.lasvegas.com) of Finland. Of course, we’d love to know what you think. Have you ever visited these casinos, or do you know somewhere even better? Let us know in the comments below.
